Everyone deserves a chance

As I was getting ready to study for my upcoming math test I spotted a heart warming story in the news today that I just had to share with you all. A varsity football team gave its opponent a free shot for a touchdown. That might be a slap in the face to some athletes when the winning team lets you have one. But in the case of Lake Stevens High school letting Ike Ditzenberger of Snohomish High run 51 yards for a touchdown, it was a dream come true. "Ike Dizenberger has Down Syndrome," the article reads.

The coaching staff of both teams informed players as to what was going on,
letting Ike make the run for the end zone as dramatic as possible. I encourage you to watch the video on YouTube, The Ike special-Varsity Edition.

As I watched every young man on the field play their part in that moment to give Ike his dream I felt inspired. It made me want to help others, to see that everyone gets a chance to be great because everyone deserves a chance.
